Why I Love Being an Aunt

My niece (aka, the cutest baby to ever walk the planet) just had her first birthday. Of course, this momentous occasion was commemorated at her first party, complete with her very own cake to dive into. Now, if you don't love this face, you are seriously dead inside.

Hey Nicole. I live in LA and was wondering when I will see your CD on the shelves up here?

I also wanted to comment on your post earlier that said "all the good ones are either married or gay". After crying uncontrollably for a bit over this dagger I have regrouped to say that I am neither gay nor married and I am a "good one". Once I receive your retraction/correction I will make sure to buy your cd.

to follow up on Montezuma's comment, i am neither married nor gay. the right guy is out there...you might meet him soon. if you don't, call me! when will your CD be available on the east coast?

While your niece is cute, I think my niece is cuter. Sorry to break this to you, Nicole.

To my new friends Montezuma's Revenge and Carl Spackler:

Thanks for visiting my blog! I do apologize for the melancholy desperation this past spring that you happened across in some of my previous posts. But if there are still, as you say, some genuinely good guys left, where, pray tell, are they hiding? As for my CD, I regret to inform you both that it isn't available in stores -- just at my gigs. Cheers!

And to my new friend Thomas:

Thanks to you as well for visiting my blog! However, I'm afraid I won't be able to relinquish my title of She Who Has The Cutest Niece In All The World until I have the opportunity to see a picture of your niece. It's only fair.

Well Nicole I tend to hide out in Los Angeles and the hallowed halls of USCs Business School in beautiful South Central Los Angeles. I'll check back on your blog to see if any of your 'gigs' bring you up this way so I can pick up your cd. I get the feeling that the Viper Room isn't on your list but maybe I can hear you at the Hollywood Bowl near my apartment?

I am so emailing pictures right now, Nicole. Though I don't think my niece has a picture with cake all over her face. She just started eating solids.
